Planning and Completing an IBM Connections Upgrade
Gabriella Davis, The Turtle Partnership

So you have IBM Connections installed, but now you need to decide what and when to update. It could be a WebSphere fix or a DB2 fixpack, a new application, a database schema or an entirely new version. Some updates are for security, some for performance and some for new features. In this session we'll discuss how you can decide when and what to upgrade, how to plan for and perform a safe upgrade regardless of its size, and test when it’s complete. We’ll also discuss what things can trip you up along the way.

IBM Connections med sikker, moderne sky-autentisering
Robert Farstad - Senior Consultant - Item Consulting AS
Runar Brastad - Senior Consultant - Item Consulting AS

Admin Tech Clash: Discussing Best (and Worst) Administration Practices from hundreds of customers
Ben Menesi, Head of Product - Ytria
Christoph Adler, Technical Account Manager - Panagenda

We both talk to IBM customers for a living—hundreds over the course of our careers. Having witnessed best and worst practices in action, this session will see us comparing what we’ve taken away from our dealings with on-premises administration, hybrid & virtual deployments, security & encryption strategies. We’ll argue, and we may even fight, but all in the hopes of reaching a consensus on topics such as usage activity, client vs. server performance, local vs. server database management, bandwidth allocation, and more.

Experiences modernizing an IBM Notes application with AngularJS
Mark Leusink,co-owner of Viaware Food Contact Software & Services and freelance consultant/developer
Modernization of IBM Notes applications is a topic that's on the map for many IBM customers. With one of my customers (a Norwegian manufacturing company) we started a project last year to modernize a 15 year old business critical Notes application. We decided early on to keep using Domino in the backend, but switch to AngularJS for the frontend.

In the session I'm going to talk about how we approached the project and got to a working prototype. I'll talk about responsibilities, development workflow, technical setup and issues we ran into. I'll explain the architecture that we're currently using and all the components involved. Keywords for the session: AngularJS, Nginx, REST, IBM Domino, Infor M3 and Infor Document Management.

I dag handler det om ”be disrupted or be the disrupter”.

News From the Trenches: Domino Security Fortification to Mitigate Potential Security Threats
Ben Menesi, Head of Product, Ytria

Long established as a leader in the enterprise collaboration climate, IBM Domino continues to perform with pliancy beyond its years. However, with this flexibility and power comes a great amount of potentially problematic bottlenecks. As administrators and developers on the front lines, it's vital that we understand the low level mechanisms that help us hone our servers, apps, and documents into secure systems. In this in-depth session, we will dissect a wide variety of security protocols like SSL / TLS, SHA1 and SHA2 certificates, Cryptography, as well as we'll talk about ACL tactics, best practices for securing agents, documents and more. You'll come away primed with enough best practice tactics to help you understand your environment, anticipate security risks, and prevent data breaches.

Sosialt intranett - Ikke bare for gøy!
Erik Borse, Item Consulting
